Dr. Nasirudeen Ogunlakin is currently a post doctorate research fellow at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Advance Materials, KFUPM. He received his B.Sc. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He earned his MSc in Material Science & Engineering and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He has co-authored 7 research papers in international journals and also a co-inventor of 2 US patents. His areas of research interests are inclusive of but not limited to the development of advanced materials for engineering applications, development of light weight structural metals and composite materials, study of structure-property relationship of materials, material failure analysis, synthesis and development of ion transport membranes for gas separation. Additionally, he has mastery of hands-on technical skills in the synthesis of inorganic materials, material characterization techniques, and powder metallurgy processing route.
